1 lb. lean ground beef 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 or 2 cans refried beans (16 oz.) 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies 2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded 1 c. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded 3/4 c. prepared taco sauce 1/4 c. chopped green onion 1 c. pitted ripe olives Avocado or guacamole Sour cream Brown ground beef and onion, drain fat and season with salt and pepper or hot pepper seasoning, if desired. Spread refried beans in bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Top evenly with meat, chilies and shredded cheeses. Drizzle with taco sauce. Cover and chill if made ahead. Bake, uncovered, in 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until very hot throughout. Remove from oven and garnish with all or some of final 4 ingredients. Serve with tortilla chips. |
