CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD 
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening (Crisco butter shortening tastes best)
2 med. ripe bananas, mashed
4 oz. jar banana baby food
2 tbsp. milk
6 oz. chocolate chips (1/2 bag)
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs

Stir together dry ingredients and set aside. In bowl, beat sugar and shortening until light. Add eggs and milk; beat until smooth. Add flour mixture and bananas and baby food. Beat until all ingredients are combined. Fold in chocolate chips. Turn batter into lightly greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes, or until wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Makes 1 loaf. Can also be put into muffin pans. Cooking times will be less.
