CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE LOGS 
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Cream: 3/4 cup butter, sugar, egg, vanilla. Add: flour and salt. Stir in: 6 ounce package chocolate chips. Form logs: 2 x 1/2 inch. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool.

CHOCOLATE COATING:

1/4 c. butter
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Melt in double boiler: 1/4 cup butter and 12 ounces chocolate chips. Dip end of log cookie into melted chocolate. Roll in chopped nuts. Place on wax paper until set.
