BEEF AND TATER BAKE 
Combine:

1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. chopped onion or 1 tsp. minced onion
1/3 c. ketchup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Pat into 8x8x1 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove and drain excess fat.

Combine:

3 c. mashed potatoes (can be instant)
3/4 c. shredded American cheese

Spread over cooked meat. Top with 1/4 cup shredded cheese. Bake 20 minutes more at 350 degrees.
