2 sticks butter (butter is better than butter for these)
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all together then press into a 15x10 inch ungreased pan. Brush top with slightly beaten egg white. Then sprinkle with chopped walnuts and red or green Christmas sugars. Bake at 275 degrees for 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cut diagonally (multiple cuts) while still warm.
