PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. crunchy peanut butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. peanut butter chips
1/4 c. chocolate chips

Mix sugars, shortening, peanut butter, and eggs. Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add chips. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Shape into 3/4 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set, but not hard (about 10 minutes). Serves 3-6 dozen.
