OATMEAL-PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
1/2 c. butter, softened 1 (8 oz.) jar chunky peanut butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 4 lg. eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 6 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate morsels Beat butter and peanut butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy; gradually add sugars, beating well. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Combine oats and baking soda, and to butter mixture, mixing well. Stir in chocolate morsels; drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 10 minutes. Cool on cookie sheets 5 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: 7 dozen. |
