MA'S BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES | |
2 c. brown sugar 1 c. shortening, cream in with hands 2 eggs 1 c. cut up dates 1/2 c. walnuts (black) 4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. vanilla Work with hands. Make in 2 rolls and put in refrigerate until stiff. Cut in slices and bake at 375 degrees for electric and 350 degrees for gas oven. Bake 10 minutes or so until lightly brown. |
