IRISH SCONES 
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. raisins
1 c. or more buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients really well. Blend in butter. Add raisins. Add eggs and buttermilk. Mix until dough is workable, adding more milk, if needed. Roll dough out on floured surface to about 1-inch thickness. Cut out circles using cup or glass. Place on cookie sheet and bake in 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
