MEXICALI MEAT PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. corn
1/4 c. green pepper
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 c. tomato juice

Brown ground beef; drain. Add other ingredients and cook until done.

Make crust with:

1 c. self-rising flour
2 tbsp. corn meal
1/3 c. shortening
3 to 4 tbsp. water

Line a 9 inch pie pan and fill with meat mixture. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes.

Topping: 1 egg, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire, 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese. Spread on top of pie and return to oven 5 minutes.
