WINTER CHICKEN BARBECUE IN YOUR
SKILLET
 
3 lbs. chicken, cut for frying
1/4 c. shortening or oil
1/3 c. thinly sliced onion
1/3 c. chopped green pepper
1 sm. clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 can tomato soup (10 1/2 oz.)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar
Dash tabasco sauce

Brown chicken in hot shortening or oil. Remove chicken and saute onion, green pepper and garlic for 5 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients and simmer until thoroughly blended. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until chicken is done, turning occasionally. Very Good!
