JELLY BALLS 
1 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 2/3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 egg yolks
Raspberry or apricot jam

Heat oven to 350 degrees (moderate). Work butter in bowl until creamy; add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add yolks; beat well. Add flour gradually; mix until smooth. Shape level tablespoonfuls of dough into balls; put on ungreased cookie sheet and press each with thumb. Drop jam into each depression. Bake 18-20 minutes until lightly browned. Cool on racks. 4 dozen.
