MARBLE NUT BROWNIES 
1 c. shortening (oleo & Crisco)
2 c. sugar
4 eggs (separated)
2 c. unsifted cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts
2 sq. chocolate

Melt chocolate over hot water. Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten egg yolks. Mix well. Add the flour and salt. Mix. Fold in beaten egg whites. Add nuts and mix well. Divide the batter in half. Into one half mix the melted chocolate. Spread dark mix in bottom of greased 9 x 13 pan. Put light mixture on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Do not over bake! Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.
