BROWNIE NUT CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour or cake flour 1 1/3 c. sugar 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 c. milk 3 tbsp. shortening 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 oz. melted unsweetened chocolate, cooled 2/3 c. finely chopped nuts Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 8"x8"x2" or 9"x9"x2" square pan. Measure all ingredients into a large bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly. Pour into pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes our clean. Cool. |
