CREAMED CUCUMBER SALAD | |
2 - 3 medium cucumbers, sliced 1 – 1 ½ med onion sliced ¼ cup vinegar 1 cup heavy whipping cream ½ - 1 cup sugar (to taste) Salt Pepper (to taste) Slice cucumber to desired thickness. Soak in salt water 2 hours or overnight. You should be able to taste the salt in the water but not overly salty. Drain, rinse and mix all ingredients in with cucumbers. Adjust sugar and vinegar to taste. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Actually tastes the best if you can let it sit overnight in the fridge. ENJOY!!!! Don't throw out sauce when cucumbers are gone, just cut some more up, soak them in salt water, drain and add them to the sauce. Submitted by: Chuck Rantzow |
