DATE BALLS 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. chopped dates

Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 3 cups Rice Krispies and 1/2 cup nuts. Mix well and cool. Roll in small balls. Roll in powdered sugar or coconut.
