DATE NUT BALLS 
1 lb. dates, chopped
1 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1 egg
3 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Cook dates, sugar, butter and egg over low heat about 10 minutes or until dates are soft. Take off stove. Add Rice Krispies, nuts, vanilla and salt. When cool enough, make into balls and roll in 4X sugar. Remember to grease your hands.
