1 stick butter
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix butter and sugar; add egg; add flour, baking soda and baking powder and cinnamon. Stir in chopped apples and nuts. This will be very stiff. Press into lightly greased 8"x8" baking pan. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut into squares.
