OVEN BARBECUED RIBS 
4 lbs. pork ribs, cut into serving size pieces
1 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 c. salad oil
1 c. water
3/4 c. ketchup
1/3 c. lemon juice
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. bottled hot pepper sauce

Place ribs, meaty side down, in shallow roasting pan. Roast at 450 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove meat from oven; drain excess fat from ribs.

For Sauce: Cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender but not brown. Add remaining ingredients, except ribs. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Pour sauce over ribs and continue baking 1 hour at 350 degrees, basting often. Serves 6.
