SPLIT PEA SOUP 
3/4 c. dried split peas
4 c. water
1 bay leaf
1 lb. ham shank or knuckles
1 onion, minced
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. Wondra flour

Add first five ingredients to pressure cooker and cook at 10 pounds pressure for 20 minutes. Let stem return down.

Add flour to milk and make a paste. Add to soup and cook a few minutes more. Strain. Serve with homemade croutons. Cut bread into cubes and brown in 1/2 stick melted butter in frying pan.
