MEATLESS SPLIT GREEN PEA SOUP 
1/2 lb. green split peas
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 carrots, cut in very sm. pieces
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 toe garlic, chopped
1 bay leaf (opt.)
Salt & pepper to taste
2 cubes chicken bouillon

Wash and sort peas. Place in pan and cover with water. Soak overnight if possible. In morning, add remaining ingredients. Add water to barely cover. Cook in pressure cooker 20 minutes. Can be cooked in ordinary pan for approximately 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary.
