SPLIT PEA SOUP 
4 c. water
1 (12 oz.) pkg. dried split peas
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1/4 tsp. ground thyme
1 pinch cloves
1/2 c. chopped carrots

Combine all ingredients in a 2 quart casserole and cover. Set microwave and power level high for 15 minutes and power level low and defrost for 60 minutes. Stir occasionally. Turn soup into blender and puree.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
