PICANTE SAUCE 
1 qt. tomatoes
1 med. green pepper
2 med. jalapeno peppers
1 or 2 cloves garlic
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 med. onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
Dash oregano
Dash ground cumin
Dash cayenne pepper

Cut up and grind ripe tomatoes. Coarsely grind peppers, onions, jalapenos and garlic. Add salt and sugar. Put in 3 quart pan and simmer over low heat 25 minutes. Stir in vinegar and spices. Recipe may be doubled or tripled and canned in jars while hot.
