2 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 lg. eggs
1/2 pt. table cream
1 tsp. baking soda, scald with boiling water until moist
4 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt

Cream sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla together. Add table cream and baking soda. Add flour mixture. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Chill if you want to roll, but not to drop. Dough must not be runny, but stand on pan.
