BUTTERSCOTCH BAR COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
6 oz. butterscotch chips
1 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nuts

BROWN SUGAR ICING:

1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. cream or milk

Cream together butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla and salt, mix well. Sift and add alternately with milk the flour and baking powder. Mix well. Fold in chips, coconut and nuts. Bake in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 350 degrees for approximately 25 minutes. Cool and frost.

To make frosting: Combine ingredients and cook 10 minutes on simmer. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add 2 1/4 cup powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
