4 c. sugar 2 (5 1/3 oz.) cans evaporated milk 1 c. butter 1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme 1 c. chopped walnuts 1 tsp. vanilla Butter the sides of a heavy 3 quart saucepan. In it combine sugar, milk, butter. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to boiling. Cook to 236 degrees (soft ball stage), about 12 minutes, stirring frequently. (Mixture should boil gently over entire surface.) Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients; stir until blended and chocolate is melted. Turn into a buttered 9"x9"x2" or 13"x9"x2" pan. Score into squares while warm; cut when firm. If fudge is soft, chill. Makes about 3 1/2 pounds. |
