APPLE SPONGE 
Sliced apples
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. flour
Powdered sugar

Fill a deep dish with enough apples to fill 3/4 full. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg; add flour gently and mix well. Spoon flour mixture over apples. Bake in oven (350 degrees) for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with cream.
