OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1 stick butter

Take water off stove and beat in oats and butter.

1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. self-rising flour

Add these ingredients to the first mixture. Use pan, approximately 12x13 inches. Be sure to grease pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

When cake is almost done, spread the icing on top and leave until thick and brown.

ICING:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
1 c. pecans
