ITALIAN BEAN AND SAUSAGE SOUP 
12 oz. sweet Italian sausage
2 tsp. olive oil
1 c. chopped onions
2 tsp. minced garlic
1 (28 oz.) can plum tomatoes
3 1/2 c. hot water
2 c. med.-size pasta shells (4 oz.)
2 chicken bouillon cubes or 2 tsp. instant broth granules
1 (19 oz.) can cannellini or other canned white beans

Remove sausage from casing. Crumble and cook in hot oil with onions and garlic until sausage browns.

Break up tomatoes. Add tomatoes with juice, water, pasta and bouillon cubes to pot. Bring to boil, then simmer for about 7 minutes. Rinse and drain beans. Add to soup and simmer until pasta is cooked. Serves 6.
