TOFU WITH WHOLE WHEAT BREAD
CRUMBS
 
1 container tofu
1 c. soy milk
1/2 c. eggbeaters or 1 egg, optional
Salt & pepper, optional
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. basil
1 c. whole wheat bread crumbs
1 onion
Oil for sauteing

Dice onion and saute until lightly browned. Slice tofu into 7 slices. Add seasonings to soy milk. Soak tofu. Soak in seasoned soy milk 10 minutes. Remove tofu, dip into eggbeaters or egg, then into bread crumbs. Saute on both sides until lightly browned.
