APPLESAUCE 
4 c. sliced, peeled tart apples
1/2 c. water
1/4 - 1/2 c. sugar
Cinnamon to taste

Place all ingredients in 1 quart casserole. Cover. Microwave on high until apples are tender, 7-10 minutes. Mash apples to desired consistency. Serve warm or chilled.

Variation: Add 3 tablespoons cinnamon candies (red) to applesauce. Microwave 30 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds. Stir until candies are dissolved.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
