STRAWBERRY ICE BOX CAKE | |
3 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberries, thawed 1 reg. size strawberry Jello 1 c. boiling water 1/2 c. sugar Juice from frozen strawberries 1 angel food or chiffon cake Dissolve Jello and sugar in boiling water. Take juice from frozen strawberries and add water to make 1 cup. Add to Jello mixture. Put in freezer, when medium stiff, mix in strawberries. Break cake into small pieces. Put a layer in the bottom of a 9"x13" dish. Then a layer of strawberry mixture. Repeat, pieces of cake and strawberry mixture. End with Jello mixture. Chill until jelled. Add a layer of Cool Whip. Refrigerate until serving. |
