BORSCH 
1 chicken or the equivalent in beef
1 onion, diced
1 bay leaf
4 pepper seeds
1 c. green beans
1/2 c. green peas
2 c. chopped lettuce leaves
1 c. finely chopped dill leaves
6 med. potatoes, diced
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg

Cook meat with onion, bay leaf and pepper seeds in 4 quarts of water until tender. Add vegetables, cook until tender; add sour cream with egg beaten in, stir constantly.
