FRIED OKRA 
6 to 8 sm. pods of okra
1/2 to 1 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. bacon fat

Wash the okra, then cut off the ends and slice to desired thickness. Toss the okra with meal until coated. Fry in the fat over medium heat for 25 minutes or until brown and crisp. 4 servings.
