FRIED OKRA 
Okra
Milk (just enough to cover all okra)
Salt
Pepper
Cornmeal

Cut okra in slices 3/4 inch thick. Sprinkle salt and pepper on them. Cover with milk and stir. Put into ice box for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain okra and put a few at a time into a covered container with cornmeal, salt and pepper; shake to cover okra. Drop into medium hot oil and fry until brown. Fry Daddy or Gran Pappy works well.
