PEPPERMINT DESSERT | |
1/2 lb. peppermint stick candy 1/2 c. light cream 1 tbsp. gelatin 2 tbsp. cold water 1 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream 1/2 lb. chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreos) Crush candy and put in saucepan. Add light cream and heat until candy dissolves (after mixture is warm I usually put into blender to finish dissolving candy). Dissolve gelatin in water, add to candy mixture and blend again. Chill until partially set. Fold in whipped heavy cream. Crush cookies and place layer in bottom of a casserole, then a layer of peppermint mixture. Repeat until all is used. Chill for 12 hours. |
