PEPPERMINT DESSERT 
2 c. vanilla wafers, crushed
1/2 c. butter
2 sq. chocolate
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)
3 eggs
1/2 gal. peppermint ice cream

Line 9 x 13 inch pan with 1 1/2 cups of wafer crumbs. Melt together butter and chocolate squares. Add powdered sugar and 3 beaten egg yolks. Cook slowly for a few minutes. Add vanilla and nuts. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites (looks funny). Spread on top of crumbs and freeze.

Spread 1/2 gallon peppermint ice cream (works best if you slice ice cream) and sprinkle remaining crumbs.
