NACHOS 
1 can (3 1/8 oz.) jalapeno-bean dip or refried beans
3/4 c. (3 oz.) Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1/4 c. (1 oz.) Cheddar cheese, shredded
16 lg. tortilla chips
Jalapeno peppers, chopped (optional)

Spread tortilla chips on a 10 inch plastic or wax-coated paper plate. If you prefer, a glass or stoneware plate, line it with wax paper to prevent sticking. Spread bean dip lightly on the chips. Sprinkle with cheese. Microwave on medium (50%) for 1-2 minutes. Microwave until cheese softens. It will finish melting by internal heat. Let stand 2 minutes. Serves hot.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
