“SOFT AND CHEWY SUGAR COOKIES” IS IN:

SOFT AND CHEWY SUGAR COOKIES 
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
1 egg
4 tbsp. buttermilk
2 2/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
colored sugar, for rolling (your choice on color)

In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar with fork. Add vanilla extract, almond extract, egg and buttermilk. Mix with fork until smooth.

Add flour, baking soda and salt to the mixture and mix with fork until dough forms. Wrap dough with Saran or plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Roll cookie dough in balls. Roll in colored sugar heavy. Grease cookie sheet. Put sprinkled cookie dough balls on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F until golden brown, about 10 to 13 minutes. Do not burn!

Put cookies on plate. Enjoy the cookies!

These sugar cookies turned out soft and chewy just like promised. Just keep a close eye on them in the oven - they brown up pretty quickly! Definitely gonna be making these again for my next bake sale!!
