ALMOND TOFFEE 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. light syrup
1/2 c. toasted almonds
4 squares semi-sweet chocolate or chocolate chips

Heat and stir until boils to 250°F first 4 ingredients. Stir constantly until 300°F. Add 1/2 of almonds and pour into 9x9 metal pan. Cover with a layer of chocolate at once and spread. Sprinkle balance of burnished almonds.
