ALMOND TOFFEE BARS 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped almonds
1 (9-10 oz.) bar milk chocolate

Beat sugar, butter, egg yolk, and vanilla until creamy. Stir in flour. Spread into 15 x 10 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven.

Break chocolate bar into sections and immediately place on baked layer. Let stand 3-5 minutes to melt. Spread lightly. Sprinkle with nuts and press them lightly into warm chocolate. Yield 3 dozen.
