FRIED GREEN TOMATOES | |
3 lbs. med. green tomatoes, cut about 1/2 inch slices 2/3 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 3/4 c. cooking oil Mix together flour, salt and black pepper. Dip tomato slices in flour mixture to coat well on both sides. Fry a few at a time, until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels. May be fried in deep fryer. Serve real hot. Yields: 8 to 10 servings. |
