FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1/2 lb. candied cherries (halves or quarters)
1/2 lb. candied pineapple (diced)
1/2 lb. chopped dates
1 lb. coarsely chopped pecans

Prepare the above, ready to add to mixture.

1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 c. self-rising flour (unsifted)
2 eggs

Mix with hand; will be very stiff.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put teaspoon size portions on ungreased cookie sheet and bake until golden brown, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Do not over cook.
