2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. Wesson oil
1/4 c. orange juice
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. raw apples, chopped fine with peeling
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut

Mix as listed above. Bake in a tube (greased and floured) at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Do not remove from pan. (Pour on sauce while hot.)

SAUCE:

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk

Bring to a boil, pour over hot cake. Leave in pan until cool, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Then remove and turn right side up.
