3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
3 c. apples (Granny Smith)
Nuts (optional)

Mix dry ingredients together. Set aside. Then mix other above ingredients. Combine dry ingredients gradually. Add 1 cup of your favorite nuts, if desired. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Frost with Cocoa Frosting.
