CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 bunch broccoli, cut into bite size pieces
1/4 c. butter
2 onions, chopped
2 c. celery, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tsp. chicken base
1/2 c. flour
4 c. milk
4 c. chicken broth
Salt & white pepper to taste
Slivered almonds (opt. for garnish)

Steam broccoli until tender. In a large saucepan, melt butter and saute onions, celery and garlic until golden. Stir in chicken base and flour gradually. Add milk and chicken broth. Stir over low heat until soup thickens and boils. Add broccoli, salt and white pepper. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and serve.
