3 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 lb. beef round steak (cut into serving pieces) 1 med. onion, chopped 1/4 green pepper, chopped 2 carrots, chopped 1 can (8 oz.) whole tomatoes 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste Enough water to rinse tomato paste can Oven temperature 350 degrees. Combine flour and seasonings in shallow dish. Coat meat in seasoned flour; pound into meat. Place meat in roasting pan. Bake for 45 minutes in oven. Prepare onion, pepper, and tomatoes. Mix together, pour over meat and add tomato paste and enough water to rinse can. Bake until meat is done or tender. About 30 minutes more. |
