GERMAN COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. sour cream
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda

TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and vanilla. Mix flour and baking soda. Add sour cream on and off with flour mixture. Put 1/2 batter into greased 12 x 9 inch pan. Cover with half the topping. Add rest of batter and other 1/2 topping. Make swirls with knife.

Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees (if center not done add 5 to 10 minutes).
