GRAHAM CRACKER CARAMEL CAKE 
34 sqs. graham crackers
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c.sugar
1/3 c. butter
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1 c. chopped nut meats (optional)

Cake: Mix crushed graham crackers and baking powder together. Cream sugar, butter, egg yolks, milk and vanilla together. Mix with graham cracker mixture. Beat 3 egg whites stiffly. Beat into other mixture. Add optional nut meats. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes in greased 9 x 13 inch pan.

Topping: Boil the can of sweetened condensed milk for 2 1/2 hours, keeping the can covered with water at all times. Cool the can until it can be handled and spread over cake. Whip 1/2 pint whipping cream and spread over caramel.
