HAWAIIAN GRAHAM CRACKER CAKE | |
1 cup (2 sticks) butter 2 cups sugar 5 eggs 1 pkg. graham cracker crumbs 2 tsp. baking powder 1 cup milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup coconut flakes 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, well drained 1 cup chopped nuts Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat well. Add graham cracker crumbs and baking powder. Beat well and add milk, vanilla, coconut, pineapple and nuts. Beat until blended. Pour into buttered pan and bake at 350°F 30 to 40 minutes. Cover with frosting when cool. FROSTING: 1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple Add butter to sugar, mix then add pineapple and stir well. Spread on cake. |
